The ideal candidate:
Recent college grad (1-2 years out of undergrad).
Sharp attention to detail.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Always meets deadlines.
Can take direction well and work independently.
Has an interest in ocean science and technology.
Eager to jump start a career in publishing.
Can understand technical writing.

Duties:
Edit press releases for magazine departments.
Curate/edit news items for biweekly e-newsletter and weekly news roundup.
Edit feature articles.
Create basic Web pages.
Report and write original short news stories/Q&As.
Represent the magazine at events.

Technical Requirements:
Basic HTML
AP style
Adobe InCopy/InDesign
Dreamweaver (preferred)

Salary: $34,000 max
