Ocean Business, Apr. 8-10, UK

Ocean Business 2025 will run from April 8 to 10 at the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton, U.K., featuring the latest ocean technologies, new product launches, dockside demonstrations and networking opportunities.

More than 350 manufacturers and service providers are booked for the sold-out global technology and science exhibition, which is expected to attract record crowds from around the world.

The two-day conference will comprise presentations from a prestigious line-up of maritime and defense experts; the Society of Maritime Industries Business Person of the Year Award; and a deep-dive focus on the “Future of Our Ocean,” including talks on intelligent underwater acoustics, renewable energy surveys, and autonomous vehicles.

This year, inside the expanded exhibition halls, visitors will be able to see transformational ocean technology, from AUV inspection and exploration, next-generation ROVs, advances in navigation systems, pioneering immersive 3D visualizations, and much more.

The hands-on Training and Demonstration program will feature more than 180 hr. of new technologies demonstrated in the dockside waters, onboard vessels, and in the classroom, displaying everything from sustainable environmental monitoring to breakthroughs in robotics and lean, crewed fleets.

There will be dockside hospitality suites, hosted by General Oceans, Teledyne Marine, Canada, and Greensea IQ.

Demos will include those from Sonardyne; XOCEAN, which operates the world’s largest fleet of survey-class USVs; and STR (Subsea Technology and Rentals), displaying its SeaTow 2000 advanced electric winch.

The ever-popular Wine Trail, International B2B Matchmaking sessions, Women in Marine Networking Lunch, and National Oceanography Centre/Global Underwater Hub Brunch & Learn Session on Renewables are among the networking and social events.

New this year is the Lego Maritime Project, an innovative simulation created by Stephen G Shaw to engage and enthuse young people across the maritime sector.

For students, Ocean Careers, running throughout the three days, will offer advice on opportunities within the ocean technology, marine science and offshore sectors.

In addition, the world’s only conference dedicated to marine electromagnetics, MARELEC, launched in 2023, will run alongside Ocean Business. Delegates will hear from eminent scientists, engineers, and academics of progress made in the fields of geophysics, geotechnical engineering, oceanography, and naval warfare.
