Chesapeake Technology Hires GM, Opens East Coast Office

Chesapeake Technology Inc. has appointed Harold Orlinsky as general manager and opened a new office on the East Coast of the U.S., in Cheshire, Connecticut. Orlinsky brings 25 years of experience in the hydrographic field to lead Chesapeake, as the company continues to build out SonarWiz, its world class software for sidescan, sub bottom and multibeam applications.
Under Orlinsky’s direction, CTI will provide additional software solutions to users and expand into new areas. In 2019, Orlinsky will travel around the world to meet CTI clients, agents and manufacturers. He will also attend trade shows including US Hydro and Ocean Business 2019.
Orlinsky began his career as a NOAA Corps officer, and afterwards he spent his career in the hydrographic field, most recently as general manager of HYPACK. He is active in the hydrographic community, serving as treasurer for The Hydrographic Society of America. He has also published articles in trade magazines, and he provides training for new students in the field of hydrography and surveying.
Orlinsky has an engineering degree from the University of Rochester and completed his MBA at the University of Maryland. —Chesapeake Technology, Inc.
