MTS, the Marine Technology Society, announced the appointment of Kathleen Herndon, Ph.D. as its next executive director. A graduate of the College of William and Mary and a Monroe Scholar, Herndon earned her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in psychological research and program evaluation from Walden University. She has led numerous research studies and has served as the managing editor of multiple trade industry publications.

With an extensive background in research and program evaluation, as well as more than 10 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, Herndon is committed to promoting MTS as the leading authority and advocate for marine technology and resources, while promoting member success and public understanding. —MTS
