Cable Survey ROTV Has a Dramatically
Expanded Payload Sensor Platform

November 15, 2017

SBI SeaKite combines the ScanFish XL ROTV with PanGeo Subsea’s SBI (sub-bottom imager) 3D acoustic SAS capabilities. The combination provides a multi-sensor towed solution for cable depth of burial, pre-route and UXO surveys and an expansion of the ScanFish ROTV system payload by 700 percent, from 50 kg to 350 kg. The ROTV itself measures 4.33 x 2.73 x 2.77 meters. It weighs 1840 kg in air and is neutrally buoyant in water.
