Ekinox Inertial Sensors Updated
With New Accelerometers, Gyroscopes

May 16, 2017

The Ekinox 2 Series is a new generation of advanced and compact inertial navigation systems. With new accelerometers and gyroscopes, Ekinox 2 attitude accuracy has been enhanced by a factor of two, while improving resistance to vibrations and integrating the Beidou constellation. The addition of the Beidou constellation improves signal availability in Asia.

The Ekinox 2 Series is fully compliant with IHO standards. It provides 0.02° roll and pitch and a centimeter-level position, and delivers a robust heading even during GNSS outages. The sophisticated heave computation reaches 5 cm in real time and even 2.5-cm accuracy with the internal delayed heave algorithm.

With new accelerometers, this new generation has also significantly improved resistance to vibration that frequently occurs on small vessels.
