Thermally Activated Gas Shutoff
Firebag® prevents the flow of natural, propane or butane gases when ambient temperature reaches 100° C, averting fire escalation and potential gas explosions. Assured Automation.

Video Processing
The Hawk Portable™, the replacement to the company’s T38, adds new remote control functionality through a serial RS-232 interface. Powered by 12 VDC, the device is housed in a solid aluminum casing and weighs less than 1 kg. LYYN AB.

Oil Spill Monitoring
Slick Guard, a self-contained moored platform, is sheen-sensitive and detects oil using noncontact technology in real time, employing a catamaran design to provide a stable operating platform. InterOcean Systems Inc.

Forward-Looking Sonar
The SeaBat 7128, designed to detect intruders, provides high-resolution sonar images of a 128° horizontal sector. It operates at 200 Hz or 400 Hz. RESON A/S.

Portal Development System
Web Enterprise Suite XI is an integrated group of applications, based on open standards, that enables the construction of Web-based portals to provide geospatial data cataloging, discovery, access, retrieval, delivery, visualization, e-commerce and metadata management. Compusult Ltd.

Triaxial IEPE Accelerometer
The Type 8766A class of miniature accelerometers offers simultaneous shock and vibration measurement capabilities in three orthogonal axes. The accelerometer is housed in a hermetically sealed titanium housing that weighs 3.7 g. It is available in ±50 g, ±250 g and ±500 g, with options for a high-temperature version rated to 165° C. Kistler Instruments Corp.

Ultracompact CMOS Camera
Shipped in a 36-by-36-by-23 mm aluminum housing, this new series of ultracompact industrial CMOS cameras offer resolutions from 96-by-96 pixels up to 5 megapixels, monochrome or color, with frame rates from 6 fps to 200 fps. These USB 2.0 cameras do not require an additional power supply. The Imaging Source Europe GmbH.

ROV Software
SeeTrack CoPilot software incorporates dynamic positioning and enhanced control for ROV operations. ROV pilots can move by clicking on a chart and can set a survey route with multiple waypoints. SeeByte Ltd.

Hazardous Area Flood Light
The HALSS-TRN-400WMH is suited for use in areas where flammable gases and vapors are present occasionally and in low densities. The fixture is also wet-area rated. The corrosion-resistant housing is appropriate for saltwater, chlorine and other corrosive environments. Larson Electronics LLC.

Anti-Noise Plug-In
This plug-in, designed to work with NaviModel Digital Terrain Modeling software, automatically computes a “noise score” for each data point in a point cloud, allowing the user to clean points of the data set that have high noise scores. EIVA a/s.

Long-Range Thermal Imaging System
The EOSS 500 Series features a 5X optical zoom thermal camera with a 320-by-256 pixel InSb focal plane array. It also features a bore-sighted 26X optical zoom CCTV and precision pan and tilt. Axsys Technologies.

Pig Tracking, Pressure Monitoring
Using extremely low-frequency electromagnetic technology, the Smart-Track™ system uses transponders mounted on a pipeline pig to track location and pressure, whether subsea, topside or inside underground pipe-lines on shore. Transponders transmit a unique code, allowing individual pigs or a pig train to be identified. TDW Offshore Services AS.

Transducer Computer Modeling
Finite element analysis capability has been added for piezoelectric assemblies and transducers, allowing visualization and optimization of performance before proceeding to physical prototyping. Morgan Technical Ceramics.

Medical Supply Case
The portable 1460EMS case features three levels of trays and a polymer construction. The clamshell case lid opens 180° to form a stable base, and its dual-action latches have been tested to withstand nearly 400 pounds of pressure. Pelican Products Inc.

Handheld Oil-Spill Detection Kit
The TD-500D uses UV-fluorescence technology to detect crude oil in seawater from 0 ppm to 1,000 ppm without using solvents. It produces results in 2 min and makes more than 1,000 measurements on one battery charge. Turner Designs Hydrocarbon Instruments Inc.

Towed Array Simulator/Trainer
This off-the-shelf station mimics the look and feel of a shipboard sonar console. Designed for sonar operators and supervisors, the trainer can simulate complex ocean environments and model multipath effects, generating raw acoustic data for each hydrophone sensor as if it were in operation at sea. Array Systems Computing Inc.

Underwater Metal-Thickness Gauge
The upgraded handheld Multigauge 3000 has an improved switching mechanism, new styling and an upgraded display window. It features a 10-mm display and the option to add a topside repeater. It is depth rated to 500 m. Tritex NDT Ltd.

Acoustic Corer
The Subsea Acoustic Corer provides real-time 3D acoustic images of the subseabed at depths up to 1,000 m. It insonifies diameters of up to 14 m to subseabed depths of 20 m to 60 m, depending on soil complexity, providing image resolution of 0.1 cu m at the seafloor and 0.3 cu m at depths to 20 m. PanGeo Subsea Inc.

Underwater CTD Winches
By attaching CTD-equipped buoys to winches that have been installed on the seafloor, this system is able to send salinity, temperature, pressure, depth and density readings every 30 minutes, allowing precise calibration of sonar readings that is intended to help remove distortion caused by variations in the water column. The winches can be installed as single units or in a group or pattern of several systems. MacArtney A/S.
