Patrick Keenan Jr. has been named president of Phoenix International. Keenan is a registered professional engineer with more than 30 years’ experience. He will be responsible for all the company’s operating units worldwide and will continue to expand upon their reputation as a premiere provider of underwater solutions.

Hydro Group has appointed William Mildon as president of the new subsidiary Hydro Group Systems Inc. Mildon brings more than 40 years’ experience in undersea product development from complex sonars to sensors and undersea cable and connectors. He will focus on shaping and delivering Hydro Group Systems to carry the same vision as Hydro Group Plc.

Horizon Marine has promoted Glenn Burnett to offshore operations manager and Chris Riffe to chief technology director. Burnett brings nine years’ experience as a marine technician and EddyWatch analyst. Riffe has 10 years’ experience at Horizon, including as offshore operations director.

Rob Smith has joined Woods Hole Group as the business development manager/senior oceanographer. Smith brings more than 30 years’ experience in applied, commercial oceanography and marine environmental science in support of offshore and coastal engineering.

Seanic Ocean Systems has added Ray Maza to their business development team. Maza has experience as an ROV pilot and technician that includes ROV development, subsea project management, operations management and strategic sales planning.

Mark Woodhead has been named senior vice president of KVH Industries Inc. Woodhead has more than 20 years’ experience providing commercially licensed content to the commercial maritime, retail and hospitality sectors. He will direct KVH’s maritime crew welfare, safety and productivity services, which includes Videotel maritime training packages.

The National Oceanography Centre has named Angela Hatton the director of science and technology. Hatton is a microbial biogeochemist with previous experience as director of research at the Scottish Association for Marine Science.

Sharon Mc Ardle has been appointed marine representative at Vesconite. Ardle brings industrial experience and is well-versed in the polymers’ performance qualities and specifications. Her new duties include new business development, sales and customer support.

Kineteco has named Max Sheppard senior technical manager. Sheppard will oversee the expansion of Kineteco’s spring starter motor range, mainly aimed at the maritime market.
