Hiab, part of Cargotec Corp. (Helsinki, Finland), has appointed Clas Thott as vice president, marketing. Thott is responsible for Hiabís global marketing function and is experienced in international marketing and sales.

Deep Ocean Engineering Inc. (San Jose, California) has brought on Chris Hon as the director of operations who will oversee the engineering and production departments. Hon brings more than 13 years of operation experience.

Bollinger Shipyards Inc. (Lockport, Louisiana) announced Chris Bollinger as president and Ben Bordelon as chief operating officer. Bollinger has been employed at the company since 1993 and has held managerial and leadership positions. Bordelon has been employed at Bollinger since 1999 and most recently served as the companyís executive vice president of repair operations.

Mark Guthrie has joined KVH Industries Inc. (Middletown, Rhode Island) as vice president, global mobile broadband sales to manage the continuing development of the mini-VSAT broadband network and related products and services.

Graham McKay has been promoted as the chief operating officer of Unique Maritime Groupís (Sharjah, United Arab Emirates) new office located in Nigeria. McKay has worked as the general manager for sales and international business development director for Unique Wellube FZC.

Mervyn New joins DeepOcean Group (Haugesund, Norway) as trenching business line manager, and Chris Pickworth is now technical manager subsea intervention services. Both hires are a part of the management team based in Aberdeen, Scotland.
