Maaskant Shipyards Stellendam, Stellendam, Netherlands, signed a contract to build an additional seismic research support vessel. It follows an order of two identical vessels to be delivered in the third quarter of 2014. Rederij Groen.

Matson, Honolulu, Hawaii, has signed a contract to build two new 3,600 TEU containerships for an aggregate price of $418 million. The new vessels will be equipped with dual fuel engines that have LNG capability and are expected to be delivered in the third and fourth quarters of 2018. Aker Philadelphia Shipyard Inc.

Imtech Marine, Rotterdam, Netherlands, was awarded a second advanced support agreement for 24/7 remote monitoring and maintenance of systems installed on board the newbuild, self-elevating platform JB-118. Jack-Up Barge.

ULSTEIN, Ulsteinvik, Norway, has sold all six Blue Ship platform supply vessels from Blue Ship Invest. The vessels are of the PX121 type, and were designed and constructed by ULSTEIN in 2012 through 2013. Nordic American Offshore.

VSTEP, Rotterdam, Netherlands, will provide a 360-degree NAUTIS Full Mission Tug Simulator and a 240-degree NAUTIS Desktop Trainer for a training center. The Tug and OSV simulators will be expanded so a complete exercise scenario can be conducted. Iskes Towage & Salvage.

BMT Scientific Marine Services, Escondido, California, has a contract to provide an environmental and platform response monitoring system and an independent remote monitoring system for the Heidelberg spar in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. Anadarko Petroleum Corp.

Blyth Workcats, Canvey Island, England, has an order for a new GRP survey boat. The 14-meter catamaran will be known as the Nordic Sonar. It will be based in Turku, Finland, and is being fitted with a comprehensive heating system and insulation suitable for use on the Finnish coast and the northern Baltic. Finnish Consulting Group.

iXBlue, Marly le Roi, France, has been selected to provide inertial navigation systems for the two Queen Elizabeth-class aircraft carriers currently being built by the Aircraft Carrier Alliance. The bridge system for each of the carriers will incorporate two iXBlue MARINS units. U.K. Royal Navy.

MacArtney, Esbjerg, Denmark, was contracted to supply an electric MERMAC ROV winch system with Active Heave Compensation for use with the CDSTM Containerized Delivery System. The CDSTM offers a single-container, integrated deepwater observation package. SeaBotix.

Scorpio Tankers Inc., Monaco, will contribute its entire very large gas carrier newbuilding contracts, together with a cash contribution of $1.9 million, in exchange for shares representing 30 percent of pro-forma outstanding shares. Dorian LPG Ltd.

GE Oil & Gas, Firenze, Italy, has been awarded a contract to supply subsea tie-in connection systems that will support the development of the Gina Krog and Eirin gas fields in the Norwegian North Sea. GE is providing equipment to connect the Sleipner A installation with a Gina Krog production platform and floating storage unit. Ocean Installer AS.

PCCI Inc., Alexandria, Virginia, has been awarded a contract for a study entitled, “Technologies Assessment of Alaskan Arctic Oil Spill Response Temporary Oil Storage Options.” Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement.

Lloyd’s Register, London, England, has been awarded a long-term contract to deliver a suite of integrity management services. The five-year deal will support the operator’s commitment to meet the global demand for energy. Talisman Sinopec Energy U.K.

MacGregor, Helsinki, Finland, has won an order worth about €37 million for 45 electric winches. The order will be booked in the fourth quarter 2013. Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Co. Ltd.
