Gordon

Fleming
Neil Gordon was appointed CEO at Subsea UK (Aberdeen, Scotland) in May, replacing CEO Alistair Birnie in July. He was previously general manager of the National Hyperbaric Centre. He has more than 20 years of management and business development experience.

Gordon Fleming was appointed president of BMT Fleet Technology Ltd. (Ontario, Canada) in May. He has more than 30 years' experience in the aerospace and defense industry with a focus on naval applications.

Ferguson Modular Ltd. (Aberdeen, Scotland) appointed Bradley Hirst as its Middle East business development manager in May. Based in Dubai, Hirst will work on promoting Ferguson's accommodation products.

Harry Kulasinghe was named Aker Solutions ASA's (Oslo, Norway) new vice president of business development in May. He will lead the subsea business unit's development, contracts and tendering departments.

Hydrovolts Inc. (Seattle, Washington) hired Brian Williams as its business development manager in May. He will pursue grants and contracts for hydrokinetic energy technology development and demonstration.

Xavier Leroi was appointed in May as Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics' (Lysaker, Norway) managing director in Shanghai, China. He previously led the company's South African operations.

BOEMRE named James Kendall as director of the Alaska OCS region in May. He will later transition to head of the region for the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, a new agency that will replace the MMS, in October.

Rick Morton joined Hydroid Inc. (Pocasset, Massachusetts) as hydrographic sales manager in May. He is responsible for expanding commercial and nonmilitary AUV sales.

Chris Monson joined Stork Technimet (New Berlin, Wisconsin) as a composites engineer at its New Berlin lab. His background includes composite testing and manufacturing environments.

Miriam Kastner, a geochemist and professor at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, received the Francis Shepard Medal from the Society for Sedimentary Geology in April for her subseafloor deposits research.

Globe Wireless
(Palm Bay, Florida) announced Don Wamsley as its senior vice president of customer care in May. Wamsley previously managed the global technical assistance center at JDS Uniphase Corp.
