Medeiros

Boatman
OceanWorks International (Burnaby, Canada) has hired Lisa Medeiros as business development manager for the offshore oil and gas industry, the company announced in February. She joins the company from the offshore division of OYO Geospace and brings more than 15 years of offshore and marine industry experience.

Jerry Boatman, ocean science and technology director of QinetiQ North America (McLean, Virginia), assumed his duties as president of the Marine Technology Society in January. Boatman will serve a two-year term. Drew Michel, owner of ROV Technologies Inc. (Houston, Texas) started his duties as president-elect.

Grant Jennings started as director of sales and marketing in January for Teledyne Odom Hydrographic (Baton Rouge, Louisiana). He most recently led the commercial business development of acoustic Doppler current profilers at Teledyne RD Instruments.

ACE Winches (Aberdeenshire, Scotland) has appointed Hårvard Sæverud as country manager of its Norwegian division, ACE Winches Norge AS (Stavanger, Norway). Sæverud comes from a background in winching and lifting, having previously served with Scan Tech AS Stavanger.

Robert Chandler has joined LYYN AB (Lund, Sweden) as sales manager for security in the United Kingdom. Chandler has more than 18 years of sales and management experience from the security and surveillance market with companies like Brickcom UK, Vicon Industries and PI Vision Systems.

Cosalt Offshore (Grimsby, England) recently announced the appointment of Rod Buchan as its new chief executive officer. Buchan most recently was managing director of Aker Offshore Partner AS and held a variety of roles at that company since 1998.

Berk-Tek (New Holland, Pennsylvania) hired Tom Buckley in February as its market development manager, where he will develop new marketing opportunities for both copper and optical fiber cabling products. He was previously an independent marketing and technology consultant in the Greater Chicago area for two years. Before that, he spent 12 years at Panduit Corp.

RBR Ltd. (Ottawa, Ontario) announced in January that Mike Penny has been appointed as sales representative for the company’s office in Victoria, Canada. Penny has 30 years of experience in the hydrographic and oceanographic fields, previously working at AML, where he was responsible for international sales, agent management and corporate original equipment manufacturer partners.
