AUVSI's Unmanned Systems

This year's AUVSI's Unmanned Systems will take place May 12 to 15 for the conference and May 13 to 15 for the trade show at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. AUVSI is the largest display of unmanned systems and robotics under one roof. Registration is open at www.auvsishow.org.

If it's happening in the world of unmanned systems and robotics, AUVSI has it covered in its comprehensive educational program. Energize your conference day by attending the morning general session. Featuring renowned speakers Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, each morning will open with a keynote address that is sure to be informative and inspiring. Keynote addresses will be from futurist Mike Walsh, founder and CEO of Tomorrow, a consumer innovation research lab; and Dr. Vijay Kumar, UPS Foundation professor at the University of Pennsylvania.

Following the morning sessions, educational opportunities continue well into the afternoon each day of the conference. This year's technical program features 48 individual presentations focused on the latest unmanned systems research, technology developments, technical solutions and industry advancements. In addition to technical presentations, there are many more educational opportunities available, including workshops, panels and hot topic sessions. Attendees seeking the latest updates on the key issues impacting the unmanned systems industry won't want to miss these engaging discussions.

AUVSI's program content features a dynamic lineup of presentations and sessions specific to the maritime community. Featured technical sessions include: Intelligent Sensor Processing for Underwater Human-Robot Interaction Scenarios; Concepts of Fleet Operations with Modular Unmanned Maritime Vehicles; Overview of the Unmanned Maritime Systems Technology Consortium; Assessing Advancements in Long-Endurance Unmanned Surface Vehicles; and Design and Development of the AquaMonkey: An Autonomous Amphibious Climbing Robot for Marine Applications.

Featured panel sessions include: Understanding the Unmanned Maritime Vehicle Economy: Customers, Operations and Market Dynamics; Stories at Sea: A First-hand Look at Unmanned Maritime Vehicle Operations; Advanced Concepts of Operations for Unmanned Maritime Vehicles; and AUVSI Discussion Forum: An Update on Unmanned Maritime Vehicles and COLREGS.
